Character Counts! celebrated its 7th year anniversary at the County Commissioner’s Meeting on November 13, 2007. After recognizing members of the QACTV film crew for its support and commitment to Character Counts!, Jack Broderick received the 2nd Annual Community Pillar of Character Award. This award, instituted in 2006 by the Character Counts! Advisory Council, recognizes an individual, group, or business that exemplifies the spirit of the Character Counts! initiative through their actions and deeds. Adults and youth from the community may nominate a business, government agency, non-profit organization, and/or a middle/high school student for the award. A panel from the Character Counts! Advisory Council makes the final selection. Additional nominees for 2007 included Suzanne Davis, Cheryl Wilson and Courtney Billups.
