Character Counts!

All children and youth need caring, supportive adults in their lives in order to become responsible, productive citizens in their community. The Queen Anne's County Character Counts! initiative places community volunteers in classrooms to deliver lessons on the pillars of character to have the largest possible impact on the youth of Queen Anne's County.

The pillar of the month for January is... FAIRNESS!

Show FAIRNESS by...

  • Play by the rules.

  • Take turns and share.

  • Be open-minded. Listen to others.

  • Don’t take advantage of others.

Fair Start Jan.png

We’re kicking off the new year with a focus on Being Fair to Yourself. January can bring pressure to do everything at once, so this month we’re inviting our community to start gently—with goals that are realistic, healthy, and fair.

Conversation Starters:

  • What’s something you enjoy that you want to make more time for this year?

  • What’s one thing you did well today that you haven’t given yourself credit for?

  • What’s a resolution you could make this year that feels fair to you—something realistic that supports your well-being instead of stressing you out?

Being FAIR to yourself!
