Recipients for the 2025-2026 school year have been chosen and will be announced at the upcoming Senior Awards Nights at Kent Island and Queen Anne's County High Schools.
Young People Who Care Grant
Applications are expected to reopen in October 2026.
The Jacki Carter “Young People Who Care” Grant empowers young people to bring their ideas to life through service and volunteer projects that benefit the community. This opportunity encourages youth to turn their ideas into action by developing and leading service projects that meet the needs of others.
Middle and high school students may apply for up to $500 to launch a new project or expand an existing one. Each selected project is supported by a mentor and designed to create meaningful change for the citizens of Queen Anne’s County.
Congratulations Ella Martin, the recipient for the 2025-2026 school year! Ella is creating a remembrance butterfly garden on the grounds of Camp Pecometh.
