Character Counts!
Events and Happenings

Appreciation Event, 2023
On 4/20/23 we held our annual Appreciation Event to honor our coaches and supporters.
Kelly Huber was recognized as the outgoing Character Counts! Coach Specialist. Kelly spent the last few years being the heart of the program. While she has started a new role within the county, she is looking forward to coaching next year.
The CC! Advisory Board also honored Jeff Straight, a long-time supporter, by presenting windchimes to Hospice in his memory. The Black Knights led everyone in singing two of Jeff’s favorite songs in tribute. Jeff represented what it meant to be a person of character everyday and he will be greatly missed.

10 Years and Counting
The 2022 Faye Lister Teen of Character Scholarship winner was Brianna Schindler from Queen Anne's County high School.
The $500 scholarship is sponsored by the Centreville Rotary Club and recognizes a student that has demonstrated exceptional character in their school and community utilizing the Six Pillars of Character.

We appreciate all of our Volunteers. Each one is very special! Just wanted to recognize these individuals who have been coaches for over 10 years now. Thank you!!
