Trustworthiness

Trustworthiness graphic with a blue shield and checkmark held above an open book.

Trustworthiness is the foundation of strong relationships.

It means being honest, keeping your word, and doing what’s right even when no one is watching. These resources help students understand the importance of integrity and build trust with others.

Books

Books and materials related to this pillar are available in each school’s Coach Resource Library. Check with the front office for access.

  • The Big Fat Enormous Lie

  • Edwurd Fudwupper Fibbed Big

  • Honest Ninja

  • Ruthie and the (not so) Teeny Tiny Lie

  • The Empty Pot

Lessons and activities for many of these books are available in the shared resource folder.

Activities

Helium Hula Hoops

Have students stand in a circle and place both index fingers under a hula hoop.
Working together, they must slowly lower the hoop to the ground without losing contact.

Trust Walks

Pair students and have one close their eyes or wear a blindfold.
The partner guides them along a path using only verbal directions, helping them navigate obstacles safely.

Save the Can

Place a can in the center of a marked square.
Students have 5 minutes to plan how they will remove the can without touching it or stepping inside the square.

They may use materials like straws, string, and rubber bands to complete the task.
